Autumn sightseeing tours. If you like good wine, head to Peljesc peninsula

'Years, lovers and glasses of wine; these things must not be counted' is one of the famous sayings which comes to mind when visiting the Peljesac peninsula. There is something magical about this most southern Croatian peninsula; you can feel the hard work and determination at every corner of this area, which is famous for some of the best Croatian wines. The area has endured massive fires in July 2015 but this has not prevented the hardworking people of Peljesac, to rebuild their lives and land, and to continue with their wine and agriculture production.

The wine sort Plavac Mali is primarily grown on Peljesac, while the more famous wines Dingac and Postup, are also of the Peljesac region. There are approximately 250 wine producers on the peninsula, and you will find many family households who open their doors for food and wine tastings.

Only an hour and a half drive is worth taking if you're in the area of Dubrovnik; you will be charmed by the land’s beauty and have many opportunities to taste some of the best Croatian wines.
